Terms & Conditions
Alléro Jewellery Terms and Conditions
Thank-you for visiting Alléro Jewellery. All the products on the site are designed & handmade by me (Melanie Maylen, owner of www.allerojewellery.co.uk).
When placing an order for goods from the Alléro Jewellery website, or shops linked to this website, you (the customer) are entering into a binding contract with Alléro Jewellery for me to supply you with those goods. Following acceptance of your order (by email), the following Terms and Conditions become binding and will apply.
INTRODUCTION
Within the following Terms and Conditions, the words ‘I’, ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘me’, ‘Alléro Jewellery’ or ‘the site’, refers to www.allerojewellery.co.uk.
If you have any questions, please email me: allerojewellery@gmail.com. I will aim to get back to you within 48 hours of receiving your email.
These Terms and Conditions may be revised, without notice by the updating of this posting so please read them carefully before using the site or making a purchase.
You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase goods from this site.
PRODUCTS
All products on the site are subject to availability.
Each item of jewellery is handmade by me alone using quality materials. Some items are made to order and as such might vary very slightly from the photos shown on the site. If pieces are a one-off item, then the products photographed in the website will be the item you actually receive.
Handmade sterling silver jewellery by Alléro Jewellery may feature small pre-made components such as ear pins, chains, jump rings, bezel cups, clasps or other small adornments.
COLOUR, DESCRIPTION & SIZE
The description of the products as set out on the site is as accurate as possible although there may be small discrepancies in the colour, description and size of products supplied.
For instance, products may vary slightly in colour as to how they appear on other screens/monitors. This is particularly true with products that include gemstones. No two items of jewellery will ever be the same due to the nature of being handmade, but they will be as close to the true representation shown on the site as is possible.
I also strongly advise that you check the measurements of any product before you make an order. Many of the photos on the site are taken using a macro lenses which shows the closest of details to show off the quality of each product. As such, this can make the products appear larger than they are so please, double check this before you make your order.
If customers receive an item and are not satisfied with the variations from website to actual article, please email to arrange for an exchange or full refund (minus the cost of return postage to us which will be your responsibility, including any additional shipping or taxes applied to certain countries). See the Returns Policy for full details. The Customer's statutory rights will not be affected.
PRICES AND PAYMENT
Given the ever-increasing demand for silver and it’s rising cost, prices are subject to change at any time & without warning. All prices on the site are shown in Great British Pound £GBP.
I do not charge VAT.
Alléro Jewellery does not accept any liability for any pricing errors due to technical issues with the site or human error. If you have a pricing query, please email me and I will let you know the correct price and ask if you would like to continue with your order.
Except for the UK where delivery is free of charge, any shipments to customers outside the UK are the responsibility of the customer. Alléro Jewellery is not liable for any additional charges to customers for shipping, taxes, customs or other charges that may be applied.
LIMITED PROMOTIONS/DISCOUNTS/SALES
From time to time I may offer promotions such as limited time discounts across my collections. These promotional prices will only be available at certain times throughout the year. The website will clearly state the times when the promotions run and after this time the prices will return to normal. Promotions cannot be combined with any other discount offers (for example discount vouchers). Only valid at allerojewellery.co.uk.
I offer a 10% discount for first time customers that sign up to the Alléro Jewellery mailing list. This is a one-time offer and applies to full-price products only, it cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discounts. If a customer signs up using a different email address, but a product is being delivered to the same address then the discount becomes void unless it is a different member of the same household making the purchase (over 18’s only).
Payment must be made by credit, debit card or via PayPal account before any orders can be sent out and you will receive an email to inform you when your order has been dispatched.
RETURNS
Customers have 14 days (28 days for international returns), from date of receipt to return unwanted items provided that they are in their original packaging and have not been worn, altered or washed. Please contact allerojewellery@gmail.com with your order number, reason for return and a return address.
The cost of returning any item is the customers responsibility (including returning items within the UK – unless faulty). I would advise that any returns are sent back to me using a tracked postal service for peace of mind. I cannot be held responsible for items that go missing in the return post.
Please see the Returns Policy for more information.
FAULTY ITEMS
If an item is deemed faulty then the customer has 28 days to contact me (in writing) and return items to be fixed or to receive a full refund.
Please contact allerjewellery@gmail.com with details of the fault and to arrange it’s return. Once received, I will examine the item and, if faulty I will do my best to fix it or provide a full refund at the original price paid (minus any posting/shipping costs).
Please note that for all returns both inside and outside the UK, it is the customers responsibility to pay for any return postage to me, additional customs, taxes, shipping costs etc and for the cost of the item being returned to the customer.
Please note
Items that are damaged through wear & tear, alteration or improper use cannot be refunded. (If an item is corrected by another jeweller and then returned to us, this voids the 28-day warranty period and refund)
Deliberate or malicious damage to goods voids all rights to a refund.
EXCHANGES
If you would like to exchange a piece of jewellery, you have up to 14 days from when you received your order (28 days for International exchanges) to let me know and return the item(s). Once received and satisfied that the item is still in an unused condition (as described above in the Returns section) then I will let you know by email that you can proceed with the exchange.
Unfortunately, I cannot pay for return of the item by the customer or re-delivery of the item by me, including any additional taxes, shipping or customs charges that might apply. Please check carefully before you make your order and contact me if you have any questions to avoid the need for an exchange.
If the cost of the exchanged item is more than the original order, then you need to pay the difference (including return postage/shipping costs) before I can prepare the item for delivery. Once the payment has been processed, I will package up the new order and send it out.
PERSONALISED ITEMS
Personalised and bespoke orders are exempt from return unless they are found to be faulty due to an error on the part of Alléro Jewellery.
Unfortunately, I cannot refund any items that are damaged or lost in transit on their return to me. Compensation must be sought from the carrier or postal service used. We would strongly recommend using Royal Mail tracked/signed service for this reason.
LOST OR DELAYED DELIVERIES
Unfortunately, it can happen to us all! An item gets delayed or lost in the post!! If this happens and your order hasn’t arrived within the estimated delivery timescale then please contact me and let me know. Please allow me a reasonable amount of time to investigate the delay for you, especially if overseas.
Europe
If your order has not been delivered within the estimated timeframe, please let me know. I will need to wait an additional 10 days before I can formally investigate with Royal Mail.
Rest of the world
If your order has not been delivered within the estimated timeframe, please let me know. I will need to wait an additional 25 days before I can formally investigate with Royal Mail.
LOST DELIVERIES TO A DIFFERENT ADDRESS
I’m happy to deliver your order to a different address if required. However, delivery to a different address is at the customers own risk. If a tracked item has been delivered to a place of work for instance and signed for (possibly by someone other than the buyer) then although I will try and help track your order I’m afraid I cannot be held responsible for items not received.
DISCLAIMER & LIABILITY LIMITATIONS
While I endeavour to ensure that all information on the site is correct and up to date, I do not warrant the accuracy and completeness of the material on the site. I may make changes to the material on the site, or to the products and prices described in it, at any time without notice.

You must observe and comply with all applicable regulations and legislation, including obtaining all necessary customs, import or other permits to purchase goods from our site. The importation or exportation of certain goods to you may be prohibited by certain national laws. We make no representation and accept no liability in respect of the export or import of the goods you purchase.
I do not accept any liability for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill) whatsoever arising out of any problem you notify me of under this condition and I shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question in whatever way we choose.

Terms & Conditions - the basics
Having said that, Terms and Conditions (“T&C”) are a set of legally binding terms defined by you, as the owner of this website. The T&C set forth the legal boundaries governing the activities of the website visitors, or your customers, while they visit or engage with this website. The T&C are meant to establish the legal relationship between the site visitors and you as the website owner.
T&C should be defined according to the specific needs and nature of each website. For example, a website offering products to customers in e-commerce transactions requires T&C that are different from the T&C of a website only providing information (like a blog, a landing page, and so on).
T&C provide you as the website owner the ability to protect yourself from potential legal exposure, but this may differ from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, so make sure to receive local legal advice if you are trying to protect yourself from legal exposure.
What to include in the T&C document
Generally speaking, T&C often address these types of issues: Who is allowed to use the website; the possible payment methods; a declaration that the website owner may change his or her offering in the future; the types of warranties the website owner gives his or her customers; a reference to issues of intellectual property or copyrights, where relevant; the website owner’s right to suspend or cancel a member’s account; and much, much more.
To learn more about this, check out our article “Creating a Terms and Conditions Policy”.
